Oh dear, it wasn't like this on the old AM forum.  What a shame.  Think I would rather stay away - it's rather cliquey anyway.

Well I hope they are right. I'm just worried as these chances to win are so hard to come by and it feels like time is running out.
Although come the next slam Andy will have either fed or djokovic in the semi so it'll be something different for him if he can make it there.
I just find the whole thing so frustrating when others get their slice of luck and Andy gets the short straw every time.
But if he does lose he won't be the first person to lose 4 finals.

Hopefully Lendl will be able to get him back in a good frame of mind for the restart.

I know what you mean, Fed seems to be a naturally lucky person which is frustrating.  They say you make your own luck but I'm not so sure.  However, Lendl can earn his money here - get into Fed's head again Andy!  And keep playing well - if you do your best and lose then it's not so hard to take.

Jesus even Neil Harman is nervous!

Though the thought of Fed smirking after a victory just makes me feel physically sick.

Yes I was trying to be nice in my earlier post but I feel the same and will not be watching if that happens.  Also the media hype about the genius of Fed and how much he has done for the sport blah blah....

I do hope Tim is supporting Andy this year - I'm sure he will be but he and Fed were always big buddies on the tour.

Andy has earned some luck......Fed has had his fair share already (not that I would wish anyone ill) so yes, may the force be with Andy today.

I am trying to think that if not this time, he is getting nearer and it WILL happen sooner or later.

I'm worried about the nerves - I guess we all are, but hoping Lendl will have some useful tips for counteracting the symptoms.  Are we all assuming Fed won't have any, or that he will be assuming Andy will have more?

I know we are all hoping he (Fed) doesn't come out in the same sort of mood he showed against Novak.  Again, that's where Andy needs Lendl's support.  I personally quite like the way Ivan has been so low-key during this tournament - it's something different and may have helped more than we realise.

There you go:

At last, thanks!  I used to be a member, though I came here first - now back again.

I give up!!  He looks very familiar - please put me out of my misery.  Page 755 hasn't helped at all.

I didn't expect Andy to get through the first round, never mind make the final, given the events leading up to the start of the tournament.

Brilliant, just brilliant.  Whatever happens, I do hope he realises just how much closer his goal is now than ever before and that he really is up there with the other three - Rafa has his knee problems, Novak barely turned up yesterday and surely Fed has got to retire before too long, despite his determination to keep going....so even if not this time (and God willing, it will be) it is definitely imminent.

Does anyone know who the guy to the left of Kim is in the photos - (or her right)?

This Grand Slam Andy deserves to win....I just cant wait for tomorrow!!!!!!!!! nervous He has really matured, I was so touched by his reaction after the match that I started crying...I cannot bear seeing him cry..I would cry in the finals if Andy wins or loses...Fingers crossed for the finals!!

So will Andy - cry I mean - and I won't be able to bear it either.  In fact I will be behind the sofa with the mute button on remote control....

Have posted abit more on the mw in the media thread Nigel.
Basically I think I said how angry I was with the character assassination of Andy.  How as an older woman he strikes me as a polite, young man who shows alot of respect for other players unlike eg federer who a number of callers had held up as an example.  Attacked the idea he was anti English and asked whether the English had no sense of humour.  Talked about the brilliance of his tennis - how some of the passing shots that afternoon just took your breath away and left me smiling, how mac says he has wonderful hands, how he's added power to his game and works incredibly hard. Said I thought some of the antipathy was a class thing - he doesn't fit the middle class tim henman template.
Although I didn't say this one thing that amused me was that some of the people who accused Andy of having no personality sounded like they had the personality of cabbages - they made Andy's voice sound positively upbeat.  Nolan gave me a fair crack of the whip and the only thing he said was how many of the critics hardly mentioned the tennis, which set me off again!
I was followed by another woman who said she agreed with me and who talked about Andy being shy.
Oh and yesterday saw my first saltire flown from a car in Nottingham as went out for a walk after the match.

BRILLIANT!!  You go girl and thanks for doing what we'd all like to do but don't actually carry it out.

If Lendl can keep him calm and emphasize that Fed has set himself goals also (despite his experience of finals and Wimbledon and beating Andy in GS's blah blah) and therefore pressure, then our boy has a great shot.

I still haven't forgiven Fed for his condescending words the last time (AO a few years back) and it's beyond me why he appears to get as much support at times as Andy.

COME ON CROWD - roar as you've never roared before....

Yes, he's a winner to us already but it's not about us, it's about Andy and we all know he won't be happy until he wins a Big One, so let's give him all the help we can.

I'm surprised we haven't seen Uri Geller do his thing on TV.......

Okay, I'll laugh. It's funny. Ha ha. But it's not. You will be seriously underestimating Ferrer if you think it's going to be a straight forward affair. For all I know, Andy can get nervous and it may take time for him to get back into the match. Just keep everything in mind. Just don't be over confident. That's all I ask.

I know many have used this quote from Emma Jean already but it's a good one and echoes my own thoughts.  Ferrer has been in the best form of his life this season and although Delpo was clearly below-par today, we know he can be a brick wall out there.

Andy needs to serve as well as he did today but of course he knows that.

Well thanks very much AELT – you have just ruined the chances of one Andy Murray to go further in this competition – just hope that Lendl can keep him calm and focused.  This scheduling is actually farcical, for goodness sake this guy is the only British hope, he is the only player of a calibre high enough to be challenging in the latter stages of a slam – treat his right do no deliberately shaft him.

This is really disgusting and an utter disgrace.

I hope Mr Lendl is giving the powers-that-be a strong talking to....all the commentary team are rightly on Andy's side.  I can't understand why they didn't put him on Centre after the Djokovic match.

Hope the Murray nerves will be a little more settled by tomorrow, never mind the `body parts' Mac referred to in commentary!  Do you suppose Rescue Remedy shows up in drug tests?!? Think
