I looked in the 'Radio Times'

According to them, on Saturday the tennis finishes 1.55pm and then they are covering Ascot racing and on Sunday it finishes at 2pm and then there's the Malaysian Motocycle GP and following that, Ascot.....confirmed on BBB1 and BBC2 websites. I hope this doesn't mean that if we're in the middle of a tight match they will leave the tennis!.... Smile

Reminds me when the Ashes was on C4 kept going to horse racing !

I hope you all get to see every rubber played as i know how annoying it can be when you look forward to an event and it gets interrupted.

For those of us with digital you can access full coverage through the red button. Last time they showed all the matches, even the dead rubber.

That is good news!

I would guess most of us here probably have FreeView.

Yes Tally, I really need digital badly!

...and yes, I sound as old as you in the introductions! Thanks, I don't feel so decrepit now!

58 isn't old is it?

Would that also work for people who have freeview boxes ?

I'm pretty sure it does considering I was able to choose courts on my Freeview box when watching Wimbledon.

Brilliant age! The experience of years, but the youthfulness of mind that nobody ever tells you will stay with you long after the mirror tells you everything's drooped. Yes, even you men.... Very Happy  Shock
I'm a wee bit younger, but not much. Wink

PS, Can you afford Sky's Sports subscription? Because it really is great for tennis. You wont get it on NTL or any other level as it's on a purely Digital platform. But their coverage of TMS is fabulous.

Evil or Very Mad  Except for Barry Cowan. I haven't got enough words to describe how much I loathe him. He suffers from verbal diarrhoea when commentating, and as a pundit his banality is second to none.

Telling geniuses like Federer and Nadal how they should play is a spectacular own goal by a bloke who hovered around 300 in the world.  Rolling Eyes

Bales and Petch (before he went a-travelling with Andy) are great though, together with Pete Fleming (  :P  love that man )  Embarassed

If you can afford the monthly fee, I highly recommend it.

 Very Happy

although i have to say tally, that sky sports package sounds like good stuff - if only for the commentators!!

Cost is no problem, I just feel It would make me watch more TV and I don't want to go down that road yet.

The best pundits....McEnroe and Becker.....so knowledgable and can see the players point of view. Conners wasn't bad also at Wimbledon. My least favourite commentator is Barry Davies. He should stick to football.

i agree, both of them are not only very knowledgable but they also bring a certain element of entertainment to commentary, without moving away from all the technical stuff - a very important factor during the long wimbledon rain breaks!!
