I hate to see Federer being the complete dominant player, I think it's more exciting when there is some competition and matches aren't predictable, it was exactly the same a few years back when Man UTD where the dominant team in football, it made everyone wish for them to lose, and now it's the same with Chelsea, I would much rather Federer was knocked off his pedestal by a wild card/other player than him to know and we know he is going to win each time.

IT'S BORING

Quite right and I'm sure that attitude is not just from the UK.

Yes but it shouldn't be.

Luckily that sort of corruption won't happen to tennis although looking at a BBC feature the other day, the history of tennis was once corrupted with the poor being blocked from entry when they could easily be better than the rich champions.

Murray backs brother to win Wimbledon

Britain's top tennis player Andrew Murray is being backed to win Wimbledon by his older brother Jamie.

He said of Andy, who was forced to miss both Wimbledon and the French Open due to a wrist injury: "I think he's got a great chance at some point.

"He's going to be around for the next nine or ten years, and he is already (number) eight in the world and beating some of the best players in the world. He will certainly have a chance in his career, I'm sure."

An email conversation with Judy Murray

Last year, when Andy was at home for a few days, he said: "Mum, can you come and hit some balls to me?" I thought: "That would be quite nice." But after about five minutes he said: "Mum, what's the matter with you? You used to be quite good." I said: "Yes, but you didn't used to be number whatever in the world and I didn't used to be close to 50 years old."

It reports that..."the Lacoste logo also featured on Murray's website earlier in the week,  fuelling accusations of betrayal."

Anybody spot that?
