Andy at the Australian Open

The event this year runs from Sunday 14th to Sunday 28th January.
For the first time ever, the Open will be held over 15 days instead of 14, a decision which has been made with the hope of cutting down the early-morning finishes that have occurred in recent years. This means that first-round matches will take place over three days instead of two, while the daytime sessions on the central courts, Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena, will feature a minimum of two matches instead of three.

The draw is out. Andy plays the No. 30 seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry in round 1, with the winner of Gael Monfils v Yannick Hanfmann lined up in round 2, and the prospect of Djokovic in round 3.

Thanks Aileen. Good luck Andy! Looking forward to seeing live tennis again. I’m really going to miss Amazon despite its occasional glitches.

I miss Amazon too. I'll take out monthly subs to TennisTV as required, starting in February because it doesn't cover Slams. It doesn't do many replays either.

At least Discovery Plus is £6.99 for a month so you watch matches from the whole Australian or French Open and cancel afterwards. I’m sure this isn’t an original thought but is it called Sky because of their Sky high prices?

I'd forgotten that Discovery covered the AO - so many thanks for the reminder! Agree about Sky - their prices are insane, yet they get away with it.

Order of play for Sunday is out and no Andy match, so it'll be Monday or maybe Tuesday.

I hope you will too. Fortunately all three show courts have retractable roofs.

Doubt it. Match is 3rd on Kia Arena following a ladies' and men's singles. Play starts at midnight GMT, so more like 5:00 am.
