Very wise words, so I hope Andy's fans take note, although I think all of us on here are realistic about the fact that patience is going to be required for the foreseeable future.  In fact part of me hopes he'll skip Wimbledon, something I thought I'd never say, because I really don't want to see him damaging his body again or suffering a confidence sapping R1 or R2 defeat.

I know what you mean. Aileen, and early round losses to some players will be harder to take than others.  I guess that’s  where the patience comes in.

I agree about the losses, particularly as Andy could meet anyone from Federer right down to the lowest ranked player in these rounds.

Well it was written just before Wimbledon, so might be on here already or on Andy Articles thread.  I'm quite sure I read it at the time.

Nothing since last August, or if there is I can't find it.  I suspect the Scottish Government has been too preoccupied with other things, like Brexit, to be bothered about tennis academies.

lol  Don't think going handbag shopping with Mum was Andy's idea of an enjoyable day off!  Can't say I blame him either.
Love some of the comments below it as well.

I do love the Murray family.  Did anyone else read Judy's book - mentioned earlier in the thread?  It's actually a great book about women, women's roles in the family, fighting for what you believe in, and struggling financially to get there. The tennis is central, and yet the story could also make it incidental. I suppose I mean non-tennis fans might enjoy it too.

I always feel that now the press have left off Andy, they transfer bile onto Judy.

^ No I never read her book because, and I don't really know why, I just can't summon up a great deal of liking for the lady. Think

Have you read it yet Aileen?  It really might change your view of her.  I think she's massivelty misrepresented.  When I was in the same room as her, by co-incidence, she made a point of saying a low-key hello to people.  And she comes across very well in talks.

I read it ATS .    Interesting. honest and down to earth just like her sons.   Her enthusiasm is not just for tennis but for children developing some skills and a love for sport.     She still has a fun relationship with her boys (well maybe not with Duncan).

Me too, ATS.    I saw Judy being interviewed on BBC Scotland last week and I was willing the interviewer to ask her how Duncan was but no...he didn't.    The last time I saw Duncan, Judy had him self isolating in the attic and the poor soul didn't even have any symptoms!!!
