WIMBLEDON mixed doubles champion Jamie Murray was snubbed by All England Club chiefs for last year’s event. At the time, the Scot’s doubles ranking was not good enough and even though he wanted to play with Sarah Borwell, organisers gave the wild cards to more senior Brits and foreign players. Before last year’s championships, Murray, 21, had been earmarked as a great doubles talent. But because his ranking was a lowly 202, he was not allowed in the mixed event. However, he was given permission to team up with Colin Fleming in the men’s tournament.
