Jamie at the AO 2012

Quote

Jamie has teamed up with Paul Hanley of Australia. They are in the bottom end of the draw and are #16.

 C'mon Jamie and Paul!

Jamie should never have split with Eric Butorac....His management thought, cash on the Murray name (Andys) and a top doubles player will want to partner Jamie but to no avail....sorry, but Jamie will only be well known as Andys brother........yes I know he,s won a Wimbledon final but that mixed doubles final was equivent to winning 3 numbers in the lottery.

Yeah, I'm sure Jamie will be used to living life in the shadow of the (great) Andy Murray by now.
I'ts a pity he cant find a regular (successful) partner, he roams from one to another.
Still, he must be making a living at it,  it would seem?

Jamie seems a very nice person on TV and although they wont go far in the AO, I do hope they win the first rounds.

The UK needs to support tennis in general, to get more and better players. Although the majority are only interested in the Men's singles. I'ts a pity really.

I wish them all good luck anyway Smile

Hmmm... not a lot but he doesnt have a large entourage like his bro'. Smile  Must rely on sponsers then?

Wasn't he a really promising junior? Nearly as good as Andy. And didn't going under the auspices of LTA really screw him up? And isn't that why Andy wouldn't go near them?

Yes, yes and yes - although I think at one time he was even better than Andy.

Alis, thought so. Yes, I'd heard at one time he was better than Andy too, having a year advantage, I suppose.

He's largely got the same sponsors as Andy and the career prizemoney is more than enough for him to get by on it's own.

Well, here's hoping! If we dare? Dont fancy his chances at all, but I dont know his partner.
Must be difficult living in the shadow of Andy with huge success.
